For a door to be a Fire Door, it must be designated as such by the proper authority and by law, it must be tested once a year. When a fire door test is conducted it is given a pass or fail rating depending on how it performs and if it has been altered or damaged since its last inspection. If your door passes it will be given a certificate that states it is in proper working order and that certificate is good for one year.
